About Trevor Sherwin.
I am based in the South East of England, not too far from London. This website is where you will find my portfolio showcasing my best work and my blog which documents my experiences and thoughts as I travel through my own personal photographic journey.
I’m not a professional photographer, I have a rather technical day job and over the last few years, this hobby of mine has grown from casual shooting every now and then to getting out and about as often as possible in an attempt to capture the next image.
Along with traditional landscapes, I love to capture the man-made world such as urban cityscapes and architecture. I spend a lot of time capturing long exposure photos of London’s skyline from along the River Thames. It’s the best spot to capture the movement in the sky which, alongside the gorgeous colours a long exposure provides, compliments some of the epic structures that line the river.
If you would like to contact me for any reason, please get in touch using the link on the top of the page.
For more information about my camera equipment, I have a “What’s in my bag 2019?” post on my blog here.
For my camera and lenses, I am a Fujifilm user. I moved over to the system in 2016 from Nikon and I have no regrets. The quality of this mirrorless camera system is quite excellent and that along with the tactile retro-like dials making the interaction with this camera straightforward which is important while out in the field. My primary camera is the Fuji XT2. I also have an X-T30 which I use for a lightweight walkabout camera.
The Fujinon lenses I use are listed below. This combination helps me get the images I want in almost any situation.
XF35mm F2 WR
XF10-24mm F4 R OIS
XF55-200mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS
XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS
I also use the Formatt-Hitech 85mm filter system with various neutral density and graduated filters. These are a must for long exposure images and also balancing the exposure in landscape photography.
