City Stille is a personal exploration of London, capturing the city in quiet, reflective moments where streets and architecture reveal a sense of calm amidst its energy. Each photograph seeks the subtle rhythms and pauses—the Stille—that give the city its character and allow a slower, more considered view of its spaces.
Growing up in the suburbs, my visits to London were rare, usually family outings or school trips to landmarks like the Tower of London or Trafalgar Square. I remember being dwarfed by the buildings, captivated by the diversity of architectural styles, and fascinated by the scale of it all.
Returning years later for work, I began exploring the city on my own terms. Walking its streets, observing its layers, and seeking compositions that resonated with me, I gradually built a deeper, personal connection.
Through City Stille, I aim to share London in these quieter, more contemplative moments, inviting the viewer to pause, notice the subtle beauty, and experience the city from a calm, reflective perspective.
